How much does a music artist make and what is GEM royalty/payment structure?

As music artists you can earn as much as $30 for per song usage. You are still the owner of all your audio submissions. Your music will be licensed on a single and multiple-per use license type  depending on the service. YearbookDVDs is the only service that we license your material on a per use basis meaning you will make money each time a DVD is sold. Your music is always licensed on a Non-Exclusive level meaning you can still use your musical works in other places. We do not take a percentage of your earnings; we work on a unique pricing structure compared to other traditional royalty models. We also pay you the artists directly, we do not make payments through any PRO (i.e. ASCAP, BMI, etc…) PROs are responsible for collecting royalties for musical audio that is played or performed in a public setting. Normally if music is played in a public setting (i.e., bar, restaurant, shopping center, internet, concert, radio, TV, etc.) then royalties are paid to a PRO, which then distributes these royalties to the copyright holders.

Goldin Eye Media only accepts audio tracks from approved sound artists who agree to be compensated directly and not through any PRO or other collective rights organizations. This is the only way in which we can ensure that Goldin Eye Media's Music Catalog is royalty-free.

The Break Down- What we are looking for…

Yearbook DVDs

Students and schools will select your music to be used as the soundtrack to their YearbookDVDs. You will be paid a royalty of $.15 cents for every DVD sold with your material on it. Although that amount may sound small at first, it is not. Schools will be allowed to choose up to 25 songs from our music catalog to be used on their final project.

For instance, if a school chooses 4 of your audio submissions to be used in the soundtrack to their YearbookDVDs you will make $.60 cents per DVD sold. If that school was to sell 2,000 DVDs to their students and staff you could make $1,200.00. Sounds good? As you can see there are plenty of opportunities to do well with YearbookDVDs. Not only can you make a good amount of money, you will gain free promotion to all of these students, and gain a new fan base.

YearbookDVDs are available for Daycares, Preschools, and K-12.

Song types/genres best suited for YearbookDVDs: Pop, Hip-Hop, Alternative, R&B-Soul,  Instrumentals, School marching Band Songs, Inspirational, Electronic, Kids-Family Music, and Soundtrack. (Music must be radio ready, and not contain any profanity or offensive language)

Digital Graduation Invites

Students and parents will have the chance to partake in a new unique way to get their Graduation Invites out in a hurry. With each graduation Invite the customer is allowed to pick soundtrack music to accompany their creative works. Your music will be selected by these customers and you will earn money each time your music is chosen. You can earn $5.00 for each Digital Graduation Invite production your works are used on. Digital Graduation Invites is an online service, and the customer will have the chance to browse your works and preview them before they choose.  They will be allowed to choose up to 3 songs depending on which package they select.

As music artist this is another way to get your music out, and be compensated the way you deserve to be. Once the customer chooses your audio submission on the final project, the production can be posted anywhere online and shared with family and friends. This is turn works out to be more free promotion for you.

Goldin Baby Premier Media Services

New and expecting will upload their photos of the beautiful journey known as motherhood. They then will select the background music to accompany their production.  Goldin Baby service is structured to run exclusively through OBGYN’s and Pediatrician offices. The mother’s then will choose from a library that is dedicated specifically for Goldin Baby customers. Once your music has been chosen you will earn $3.00 for each time your song is selected for a production. Mothers can pick up to 9 songs depending which plan they decide to use.

Once again the promotion possibilities are great for music artists. The finished video projects can be uploaded to any email, or embedded in any social media site i.e Facebook, YouTube, MySpace etc...  With Over 4 million babies being born in the US alone each year the earning potential can be big.

Medical BioMedia

Medical Bio Media is a service that is created for Medical Physicians.We help them to create custom Biographical media to be displayed in their offices as well as online. These productions need background music to accompany the video footage we create for them. That is where your audio submissions come into play. The physicians will then select from a library created specifically for Medical BioMedia clientele and choose the music they feel fits their production the best.

For each time your music is selected by a Physician you can earn $30. Physicians will be able to pick up 3 songs for their Biographical productions. As music artists this will market you in ways you never have been before. The opportunity to have your music featured in a Physician’s office gives you instant credibility and a commercial appeal not seen before for unsigned music artists.
